The role is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial reporting, analysis, and strategic support to drive informed business decisions. Key duties include preparing financial statements, overseeing budgeting and forecasting processes, managing daily financial operations, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The position also supports audit activities, maintains financial systems, and contributes to financial planning and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement to support strategic decision-making.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance, investigate discrepancies, and provide recommendations to optimize financial resources.
  3. Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
  4. Taxation and Compliance: Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Prepare tax returns, manage tax filings, and support tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities.
  5. Audit Support: Facilitate external audits and liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations. Implement audit recommendations and internal controls to enhance financial integrity and transparency.
  6. Financial Systems Management: Maintain and enhance financial systems and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Identify opportunities for automation and integration to optimize workflow and data accuracy.
  7. Financial Planning and Strategy: Assist in developing financial plans and strategies to support business objectives and growth initiatives. Conduct financial analysis and modeling to evaluate investment opportunities and assess their financial viability.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, CFA certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial management software, Esker, ERP systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
