What you can expect
Supervisor role is specialized in ledgers and accounting with adequate accounting software skills in order to record and process expenditures, receipts and other financial transactions. The role is fundamental in ensuring the department functions to a high standard, meets all the organizations financial support needs and ensures the organization provides high reporting standards to its internal and external stakeholders.
Accounting process- Manage, monitor and oversea accounting process prepared by local accounting team (General-ledger, Sub- ledger A/P, A/R, fixed assets)
- Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments which include but not limit to work-in-progress, prepayments, accruals and taxes
- Review, analyze and maintain balance sheets, tracking the contents of accounts and perform reconciliations
- Prepare, review and analyze the month-end Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Accounts for financial and management reporting purposes (including project and/or business related analysis).
- Responsible for cash-flow management and reporting including but not limit to prepare and monitor the weekly cash flow position, timely notification to Corporate Treasury for all intercompany outgoing payments, involve in collection process and liaise with the respective project managers for overdue invoices etc.
- Manage and oversea the accounting process prepared by the accounting team
External / Internal Reporting- Prepare and responsible for the year-end financial reporting package in accordance to the Company Accounting Policy and the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards requirements, including the external audit of such financial statements.
- Responsible for annual statutory audit preparation include liase with external auditor in providing information, responding on audit queries and finalise the audited financial statements.
- Prepare and responsible for all compliance required by SSM
- Support local tax projects and audit, ensure accurate and timely filings including coordination with inhouse tax team or external tax consultants.
- Prepare and responsible for management reporting include but not limit to cost centers reporting.
- Assist finance manager in the preparation of the annual budget reports and perform variance analysis vs actual.
Others- Support and supply other functions with financial information upon request
- Lead management and administration of financial accounting topics (financial accounting manual, chart of accounts)
- Safeguarding company policies and ensure applicable work procedures are followed.
- Drive continuous improvement processes and procedures in relation to the finance related matters, and improve finance internal controls.
- Developing an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, key employee retention and development, and high performance deliveries of function specific responsibilities.
- Support, train and mentor interns and/or junior team member as required or assigned.
- Comply with health, safety and environment regulations.
- Adhere to ROSEN business process, policies and procedures.
- Interaction and team participation with other members in the ROSEN Group
What you will bring
► CA, CPA, or ACCA qualified.
► Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance.
► Preferable 6-7 years’ working experience in Audit and Finance, with at least 2 years in a team lead role
► Experienced with accounting standards, requirements (e.g. end of month-end closing) and legal obligations.
► Demonstrated skilled using Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
► Experience with SAPA S/4HANA
► High attention to details and excellent data accuracy skills (details oriented).
► Ability to adhere to strict timeframe constraints, deadlines orientated and flexible (if required) to ensure work requirements are completed.
► Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
► Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written.
► Possess a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
► Comfortable working in a matrix organization
► Able to develop strong working relationships within the regional finance team as well as within the sector.
