Assistant Manager, Expense and Reporting-1

This position supports various finance functions, including staff cost accounting, fixed asset and lease management, intercompany billing, accounts payable, and treasury operations. Responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate transactions, preparing schedules and reconciliations, managing vendor payments, and regulatory filings. The role also involves supporting audits, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to process improvements.

  1. Handle accounting for staff costs (e.g., salary, bonus, share awards, employee claims) and liaise with HR on related queries.
  2. Ensure timely accounting of fixed assets and leases, submit supporting schedules, and oversee stock takes.
  3. Bill service fees and recharges to 15 intercompany entities across the region promptly and accurately.
  4. Coordinate with intercompany entities or vendors for collections.
  5. Record billings and accruals correctly in the accounting system.
  6. Prepare and review vendor payments, ensuring proper support and authorization.
  7. Record accounts payable entries with all relevant details.
  8. Prepare month-end schedules and reconciliations; follow up on outstanding invoices.
  9. Verify new supplier information, including bank details.
  10. Prepare month-end accruals and staff claims reimbursement reports.
  11. Manage corporate card reconciliations and aging analysis monthly.
  12. Handle treasury matters such as bank reconciliations, cash flow projections, and liquidity monitoring.
  13. Deliver regulatory and tax returns in compliance with local laws.
  14. Support statutory audits.
  15. Participate in special projects and process improvements.
  16. Assist in ad-hoc finance projects as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, ICAEW) or working towards it is advantageous.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Big 4 audit firms or financial services, especially fund management, is preferred.

Business Knowledge and Skills
