The “Senior Environmental Health & Safety” will be based in Senai, Johor and will be in charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
2. Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
3. Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.
4. Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture, and fixtures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
5. Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to the unit or sub-units, getting involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
6. Establish and recommend changes to policies affecting subordinate organizations.
7. Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers.
8. Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
9. Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials.
10. Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
11. Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
• Typically requires 5 years of related experience.
• Competencies: Safety and Health Officer- Green Book, CepSWAM – Schedule Waste Competent Person, RPO – Radiation Protection Officer, and ISO14001/ISO45001 – Lead Auditor.
