Management of data governance activities and tasks to completion by collaborating with key stakeholders.
Development, management, and reconciliation of policies, processes, and standards regarding data.
Build data models and design data service architecture aligned with existing data engineering resources to replicate results from on-premises to the cloud, with ongoing improvements.
Manage cloud data platform costs and oversee its expansion within the organization.
Coordinate communication with Data Governance Council and Committee Members.
Ensure all data assets are cataloged in Collibra with clear ownership assigned.
Develop and embed data governance processes across the organization.
Communicate data issues effectively to both technical and non-technical users.
Lead the implementation of Collibra and establish a comprehensive organizational knowledge base.
Align data initiatives with the broader Information Technology strategy.
Mentor and develop junior team members.
Experience in producing specifications for user approval and technical use.
Proficiency in structured analytical techniques.
Background in data management within a business or IT operational context.
Strong critical thinking skills to identify opportunities, risks, and reconciliation issues.
Hands-on experience with database tools such as IBM DB2, AS400/P400, Databricks, Azure Cloud, and languages like SQL, PL-SQL, Oracle, Sybase.
Previous experience in the insurance industry, preferably Lloyd's-based.
Experience in customer-facing/support roles and training end users in data usage.
Knowledge of data protection laws in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
Strong collaboration skills with business representatives to document requirements.
Experience with data analysis tools and methods.
