JOB SCOPE:

The incumbent is responsible to provide best-in-class customer onboarding experience to support the Company's business by assessing risks and approving or declining applicants within underwriting guidelines and compliance regulatory.

The complexity of the insurance business requires the incumbent to acquire strong technical underwriting skill, good leadership, be a team player, customer orientated and possesses supervisory skill. The incumbent is also required to work closely with other departments in delivering exceptional PRUexperience Service to customers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Underwrite and counter-signing subordinates referral cases in accordance with the prioritization given and within agreed Turnaround Time.

• Perform processing in accordance with underwriting guidelines, compliance regulatory and corporate requirements.

• Motivate subordinates towards achieving expected productivity, quality and performance.

• Coach and provide guidance to subordinates to acquire skill required to perform the job effectively, deliver exceptional PRUexperience Service to customer.

• Handle enquiries and provide immediate response to Agency Development team and Agency or Banca team.

• Assist superior in delivering training plan to subordinates. Involve in team discussion, case study / sharing.

• Monitor and review work systems and processes for the effective and efficient operations of the department.

• Highlight issue; provide feedback / suggestion or opportunities for improvement to management.

• Perform related duties and tasks as assigned by superior from time to time.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

1. Qualifications

• A degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, Health Science or any field related to human biology or public health.

2. Experience

• At least 3 years working experience in life and health insurance underwriting
