The Assistant Manager, Culture & Engagement plays a key role in leading the design and execution of culture-building initiatives across Malaysia Aviation Group. This includes driving employee engagement programmes, recognition campaigns, and special culture projects that deliver measurable impact aligned with the Group’s strategic direction and Human Capital agenda. The incumbent is also responsible for leading internal communications related to these initiatives, monitoring their effectiveness, and working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure smooth planning, execution, and governance. The role calls for strong personal leadership, project coordination, communication, and analytical skills to deliver impactful and meaningful culture and engagement initiatives across all employee levels.

Key Accountability
  • Lead, Design and Execute Culture & Engagement Initiatives

Manage the end-to-end execution of culture and engagement initiatives including employee engagement programmes, recognition campaigns, employee assistance schemes and other culture-related special projects to ensure each is delivered on time, on budget and aligned with Group and Human Capital strategy.

  • Drive Communications for Culture & Engagement

Research, draft, edit and publish clear, engaging content about culture and engagement activities across internal channels, increasing awareness and participation while strengthening the link to MAG Culture Principles.

  • Track Impact and Surface Insights

Monitor participation, utilisation and feedback for every initiative; compile data dashboards and concise reports that highlight results and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate for Planning, Execution & Governance

Forge strong working relationships with key stakeholders, Human Capital Business Drivers and Business Units to co-create project plans, secure resources and ensure seamless execution while upholding robust governance, documentation and compliance across all Culture & Engagement activities.

Qualification & Working Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Media, Human Resources, Psychology or a related field
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in employee engagement, internal communications or content development, preferably within a corporate or organisational culture setting.
Areas of Experience
  • Experience in planning, designing, executing and evaluating culturebuilding, employee engagement or change management programmes.
  • Skilled in crafting clear, engaging content across various internal channels, preferably with experience in storytelling and campaign management.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders across departments and levels.
  • Experience managing end-to-end projects with multiple workstreams, timelines and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and outcome tracking.
  • Competence in collecting, analysing and reporting qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate programme effectiveness and inform improvement.
