Job Title: Assistant Manager, Corporate Finance / Treasury

Type: Full-time

Responsibilities – AM, Corporate Finance
  • Assist in preparing materials for corporate exercises including mergers & acquisitions (M&As), joint ventures (JVs), rights issuances, and other equity financing initiatives as directed by Management.
  • Contribute to defining appropriate capital structures for business arrangements, taking into account business needs, risk management, taxation, accounting, and legal requirements.
  • Participate in the preparation of documentation, information memoranda, business plans, and pitch materials.
  • Support team training and onboarding under the guidance of finance managers.
  • Provide assistance in ad hoc projects, initiatives, and cross-departmental collaborations on project tenders.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting processes, and business opportunity assessments.
  • Assist in developing financial models and analyses in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with investors and other stakeholders to gather insights on financial matters impacting the business.
  • Liaise with the legal team to ensure compliance of financial transactions with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
  • Work with the accounting team on financial period-end closing activities.
  • Assist in identifying revenue generation opportunities, potential clients, and investors.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases, proposals, and pitches; follow up on leads from the client contact base.
  • Prepare Board Papers and collate materials for presentation to the Board of Directors (BOD) and BOD Committee meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet statutory deadlines and requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Group CFO or Management.
Qualifications – AM, Corporate Finance
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Languages: Spoken: English, Malay
  • Other Requirements: Basic knowledge of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Companies Act 2016, and other relevant acts/regulations governing listed and private limited companies.

  • Prepare and review daily cash positions and treasury reports, ensuring up-to-date information.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all bank covenants.
  • Assist in fundraising activities, new financing or loan requests, and annual planning.
  • Maintain strong relationships with bankers, lawyers, company secretaries, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications – AM, Treasury
  • Education: A degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field is required, as the role involves financial management and treasury operations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential for financial analysis and decision-making. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to liaise with various stakeholders. Effective time management skills and the ability to coach junior team members are also necessary.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in corporate/commercial banking, corporate treasury, or financing-related roles.
  • Language Proficiency: Spoken: Must be fluent in English and Malay; Mandarin is an advantage but not mandatory. Written: Strong writing skills in English and Malay; Mandarin is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Other Requirements: The candidate should be able to work independently and under pressure while also adhering to professional conduct.
