The Assistant Manager, Corporate Development is responsible for assisting with Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad’s communication efforts both externally and internally. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills to translate financial and operational data into impactful narratives for investors, analysts, media, and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will support Group-level CSR planning, execution, and reporting. The Corporate Development team also supports funding, capital activities, corporate planning, and strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Investor Relations
- Develop and update investor presentations annually to align with industry standards.
- Coordinate and edit marketing and communication materials, including investor presentations, corporate updates, videos, press releases, and newsletters.
- Interpret financial data and KPIs to craft messaging for investor communications.
- Enhance investor relations and public relations platforms for broader reach.
- Respond promptly to investor/shareholder inquiries.
- Support leadership with investor-related content and data.
- Corporate Communications/Media Relations
- Develop and update brochures, media kits, key messages, and fact sheets.
- Manage website updates and improvements.
- Prepare presentation materials for management and company events.
- Monitor media coverage and escalate relevant news.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Assist in planning and implementing CSR programs aligned with ESG goals.
- Develop CSR guidelines and budget proposals.
- Track CSR initiatives and promote employee engagement.
- Ensure CSR activities comply with company policies.
- Gather CSR and ESG data for reporting.
- Other Responsibilities
- Support branding activities and departmental budgeting.
- Assist in strategic initiatives like funding and corporate planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant fields such as finance, economics, engineering, marketing, or communications.
- Professional qualifications like ACCA, ICAEW, CFA are advantageous.
- At least 4 years’ experience in investor relations, corporate planning, or related areas.
- Experience with public-listed companies, energy sector, or capital markets preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Malay proficiency is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design tools and digital media is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
