We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedAssistant Manager, Contractto join our team inSeri Manjung, Perak. This role plays a key part in supporting contract management activities throughout the project lifecycle—from tendering and negotiation to execution and compliance. You will collaborate closely with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure contracts are effectively administered and project costs are controlled within budget.
1. Contract Negotiation & Administration
Support contract negotiations with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Manage updates, addendums, and amendments to existing contracts.
Respond to bids, proposals, and assist with negotiation documentation.
2. Contract Monitoring & Compliance
Track and monitor contract performance, ensuring timely renewals, closures, or extensions.
Ensure all contractual obligations are met and documented in compliance with company policies.
3. Site Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and architects to resolve site-related contractual matters.
Work closely with the project team to address and manage issues arising during project execution.
Verify interim payment certificates (IPC) for main and subcontractors.
Assist in preparing Letters of Award (LOA) and reviewing final account statements.
Monitor project costs and variation orders (VOs) to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Assist in preparing tender documentation, analyzing bids, and recommending awards.
Support procurement planning and ensure alignment with project timelines and budgets.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare regular reports on contract status, payments, and compliance matters.
Maintain accurate records for audits, management reviews, and regulatory purposes.
Job Requirements
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or contract administration, with exposure to both pre- and post-contract work.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of QS practices, tender processes, budgeting, contract negotiation, and cost control.
Experience handling subcontracts and construction-related contracts.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently or in a team.
