Overview

Eco World Development Group Berhad is seeking an experienced Executive, Contract Administration (Quantity Surveyor) to join our team. This full-time position will be based in Batu Kawan, Penang. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the contractual and commercial aspects of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards, applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare tender documents (e.g. bill of quantities, specifications, contract conditions, drawings etc) where quantity take-off and site measurement are required.
• Source for pricing from suppliers and work out competitive tender prices.
• Ensure that the measurement of quantities for building materials specified for the BoQ accurately reflects the specifications and drawings prepared by architects and engineers.
• Organize tender interviews and ensure the tendering processes comply with the Company SOP and project schedule.
• Prepare overall project budget, construction costs, progress claims/payments, variation orders and final accounts are prepared and controlled in accordance to work standards.
• Maintain proper records of all pricing, documents, drawings and samples.
• Update tender documents based on feedback attained and that costs are re-calculated where designs or specifications are altered.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, project cost management, and quantity surveying principles
• Proficient in using construction-specific software, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach to work
