Position: Assistant Manager, Company Secretarial
Requirements/Job Description:
  • Minimum 6 years of experience, preferably with exposure to public listed companies
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; good communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Knowledgeable, confident, adaptable, with high integrity and reliability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels
  • A team player capable of working independently
  • Assist in ensuring the efficient performance of the Corporate Secretarial team
  • Contribute to building a supportive and competent team for high performance
  • Manage and coach subordinates as needed
  • Resolve conflicts or issues within the team when necessary
  • Support office management alongside the Manager or Head of Department
  • Identify operational issues and collaborate on resolutions
  • Organize and manage board and shareholder meetings, including preparing and distributing relevant documents
  • Attend meetings as required, record proceedings accurately, and communicate key decisions
  • Provide governance advisory support to the Board and management
  • Assist in implementing governance policies, practices, and initiatives
  • Supervise and review team assignments, providing guidance and support
  • Draft announcements, circulars, and other corporate communications
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timely disclosures
  • Prepare sections of annual reports, resolutions, minutes, and other documentation
  • Liaise with authorities, auditors, and professionals on secretarial matters
  • Maintain statutory records and ensure good housekeeping
  • Oversee due diligence and statutory information compilation for corporate exercises
