Assistant Manager, Commodity Indirect - PTP

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Assistant Manager, Commodity Indirect located in Port Tanjung Pelepas, Gelang Patah, Johor.

What a typical day looks like:

• Responsible for the development, recommendation, and execution of optimal sourcing strategies for certain items.
• Develop technical, statistical, and fundamental assessments for each commodity.
• Manage cash negotiations and secure advantageous commercial agreements with approved suppliers.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for annual and multi-year purchase commitments.
• Coordinate selection of transportation modes and carriers to lower delivered costs while ensuring quality, flexibility, and long-term vendor relationships.
• Manage inventories associated with strategic commodities to prevent expenses or shortages.
• Evaluate commodity risk positions reported to multiple levels of the organization.
• Develop plans for cost savings, synergies, quality improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.
• Evaluate hedge effectiveness and calculate cost savings and avoidance.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Prefer a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in materials or a related field.
• A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
