Job description

We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Commodity Manager to join our Global Supply Chain team. In this role, you’ll be driving sourcing strategies and supplier performance for precision parts and valve components — covering stamping, die casting, valve machining, instrument machining precision parts, forging, and valve casting.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for precision and valve parts in alignment with business goals.
  • Partner with engineering, supplier quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Keep a close eye on market trends and supplier landscapes to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to commodity strategies including supplier evaluation, selection, and risk management.
  • Lead contract negotiations and e-sourcing events to capture savings and value.
  • Drive supplier performance through KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage qualification of new suppliers and support smooth integration into production.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, holding stakeholders accountable for execution.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in sourcing or supply chain, ideally with exposure to machining, casting, or forging commodities.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical drawings
