The Role:

  1. Perform product requirement studies, set up product and claims formulas in PF for new product rollouts, funds, or regulatory changes.
  2. Configure policy illustration formulas in PF for Point of Sale/NextGen systems.
  3. Establish rates and rate table structures in PF.
  4. Conduct unit testing of formulas and rates, and develop checking programs.
  5. Prepare documentation for formula mapping and rate table structures.
  6. Collaborate with Product Implementation and IT-PF support teams to develop new formulas or parameters in PF.
  7. Enhance PF system functionality related to product formula setup as needed.
  8. Provide actuarial support for management and operational issues related to formula setup in PF.
  9. Support the implementation of PF Day2 requirements for existing products.
  10. Assist regional governance of formulas and rate table structures in PF.
  11. Support regional processes implementation in Malaysia and Indonesia.
  12. Assist in PF setup for new product rollouts in Malaysia and Indonesia as required.
  13. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies to understand risks and safeguard the company.
  14. Proactively identify potential risks and share best risk management practices.
  15. Perform other related responsibilities.

The Person:

  1. Recognized tertiary qualification in Statistics, Maths, or Actuarial Studies.
  2. Minimum 2 years of actuarial-related experience.
  3. Passed some actuarial exams from recognized bodies such as the Faculty of Actuaries (Scotland), Institute of Actuaries (England), Institute of Actuaries (Australia), or Society of Actuaries (US).
  4. Adherence to professional actuarial standards and code of conduct.
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  6. High integrity, accountability, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
  7. Initiative to improve current processes and adaptability to change.
