An established industry player is seeking a dedicated actuarial professional to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on the development and analysis of financial models essential for IFRS17 and MFRS17 reporting, ensuring accurate financial performance assessment. The opportunity
This position is accountable for the accurate and timely development, production and analysis of actuarial financial models and management information for IFRS17 and MFRS17 reporting. These form the basis for assessing the Company’s financial performance and position. This position shares accountabilities with other departments such as Finance for the accurate and timely development, production, and analysis of financial reports.
Responsibilities
For IFRS 17 / MFRS 17 and financial statement related reporting:
Management information submission
Driver of earnings analysis
Valuation control (booking control, inclusion control, reserve trend & movement analysis, spreadsheet control and annual spotcheck)
Annual basis change
Liaise with external and internal auditor
For other OSFI requirements and reporting
LICAT capital reporting and sensitivity
Par Adequacy Testing
Economic Capital Sensitivity
Appointed Actuary Report
Experience monitoring and studies
Maintain and improve documentation of tasks for general reference
Initiate process improvements and streamline tasks
Other regional analysis and submissions as required
Provide support for other actuarial related matters and ad-hoc projects/initiatives from time to time

What we are looking for
Preferably 3-5 years relevant experience.
Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, and Mathematics.
Good progress in actuarial professional exams.
Good time management and analytical skills.
Demonstrate ability to apply actuarial theories to develop practical solutions to various assignments and projects.
Good interpersonal skill
