Reports to: Division Head and Financial Controller

Job Summary:

Mega First Corporation Berhad (MFCB) is seeking a pro-active and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting and Finance team.

This role is responsible for managing the Group’s accounting, financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual), cash management, corporate finance, ESG reporting, tax, and legal compliance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the full set of accounts and responsible for month-end closing and preparation of monthly accounting reports, in accordance with MFRS and internal policies and procedures.
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports, including budgets, key performance metrics, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
  3. Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements (including supporting schedules), ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting deadlines.
  4. Monitor and manage cash flow, debt levels, and bank covenant ratios on a monthly basis.
  5. Study existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to regulations of legal and tax (both direct and indirect).
  6. Maintain and update the annual corporate calendar.
  7. Undertake any ad-hoc assignments as and when required.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preference for applicants with Professional Qualifications (CPA, ACCA, MICPA or equivalent).
  2. Minimum 4-5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role. Experience in an audit firm is an added advantage.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  4. Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
  5. Sound knowledge and application of MFRS principles and practices.
  6. Hands-on experience in group reporting and consolidation accounts.
  7. Strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills, and keen attention to detail.
  8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
