A leading company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager in Account & Finance to oversee financial operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial reporting expertise, and leadership abilities to support business decisions and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager Account & Finance to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. This role is responsible for help GM Account & Finance to manage & prepare the financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and compliance, while also providing strategic insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full spectrum of the finance and account functions including financial reporting, finance operation, corporate finance and taxation
Handle year end reports for audit and tax schedules
Prepare quarterly report for Board and audit committee
Manage and oversee the daily operation of accounting department
Ensure team compliance with accounting regulations and regulatory requirements
Prepare and present financial statements and reports to management
Collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts
Identify opportunities for process improvement and saving for the company
Prepare annual statutory audit financial report and the relevant working papers
Prepare annual tax estimates, monitor and review periodically
Planning and monitoring of cashflow
Liaise with auditors, tax agent, company secretary, government authorities and bankers
To perform any other duties and responsibilities from time to time
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly desirable.
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., UBS, MYOB, etc).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in [insert industry: e.g., manufacturing, tech, services.
Track record of leading financial process improvements.
