- Assist the Team Lead and Head of MRMD in performing all functions guided by all Market Risk Management policies and guidelines for the Group (Bank and subsidiaries).
- Assist in the development and enhancement of risk control tools and methodologies related to market risk management, aligning risk appetite and strategy through better evaluation of risk/reward profiles for the Group.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and enhancing policies and guidelines related to market risk management.
- Assist in reviewing and enhancing risk control tools and methodologies, aligning risk appetite and strategy through better evaluation of risk/reward profiles.
- Prepare and analyze all market risk reports within the stipulated time frame and ensure they are error-free.
- Prepare and analyze reports for ALCO, MRCC, and BRC within the stipulated time frame and ensure they are error-free.
- Ensure accurate understanding of data and reports prepared by the team for relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor MATs/limits and ensure escalation of exceptions within the stipulated time frame.
- Assist in assessing new products in line with the Bank’s new product guidelines.
- Assist in reviewing and developing new guidelines, policies, and methodologies within the Bank and subsidiaries such as BIMB Invest and BIMB Securities.
- Review regulatory reporting requirements as required by Finance Division and other divisions within the stipulated time frame and ensure they are error-free.
- Assist in responding to inquiries from BNM, PIDM, internal/external audits, and other divisions within Bank Islam.
- Perform continuous improvement on the analysis and risk reporting of market risk, liquidity risk, and asset-liability management.
- Assist in the implementation of relevant projects for the market risk system, e.g., Quantum and KRM System.
- Conduct industry, competitors, and market analysis to gauge the Bank’s standing and performance relative to benchmarks.
- Ensure Department’s overall audit performance and compliance with policies, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Serve as backup for all critical reports and processes in MRMD.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Team Lead and Head, MRMD, as per business requirements.

- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant work-related applications/programs.
