About the job
This is an individual contributor role under the HR department where you will be responsible for overseeing training and employee development initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with the Talent Manager, and department heads to identify training needs, design and deliver learning programmes, and support continuous capability building within a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate annual training planning and implementation across functions, ensuring alignment with departmental needs
- Design and facilitate in-house training programs for all management levels, focusing on leadership development and operational upskilling
- Handle the full cycle of training logistics including nomination processes, attendance tracking, and record management for audit readiness
- Improve training data management, tracking participation, effectiveness, and compliance with internal policies and audit standards
- Increase involvement through initiatives like Quality Control Circles and internal appreciation programs
- Develop and implement structured coaching frameworks to support skills transfer and on-the-ground learning
- Administer training budget claims and optimize the use of available learning subsidies and funds
- Assist in digitalising training functions to improve data tracking and cost visibility
- Benchmark industry practices, and evaluate approved training providers to address evolving organisational needs
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business, or related degree; professional certifications in training or an MBA are a plus
- Minimum 8 years of experience in L&D or HR within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Track record in designing and executing impactful training programs across different employee levels
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and represent the company professionally to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Highly organised and analytical, with strong Excel skills and the ability to develop effective training materials and reports
- Familiar with HRMS such as Workday or SAP HR, and Learning Management Systems
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion, while influencing and collaborating across departments
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Full-time on-site role based in Sitiawan, Perak
