Job description

The main role of this position is communication and problem solving with Royal Malaysian Customs Officer.

  1. Manage customs clearance processes at all Royal Malaysian Customs Office branches.
  2. Attend to customs queries, if any, and notify the Coordinator, Customer Service. Escalate unresolved issues to the immediate superior.
  3. Attend shipment examinations as instructed by Customs Officers.
  4. Handle truck endorsement (truck sealing) procedures for K8 shipments.
  5. Verify and validate shipment status via the ALDEC system prior to handing over customs forms to the relevant department or direct customers.
  6. Collect cheques from the Finance Department upon notification from the relevant department, either for customs duty payments or customs compounds.
  7. Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
  8. Job responsibilities are subject to change and may be revised as necessary.
  9. Minimum SPM (Pass) or with minimum two (2) years of working experience in logistics industry.
  10. Knowledge of the Customs Management System would be an advantage.
  11. Service-oriented, good interpersonal and communication skills.
