Assistant IT Manager (Software & Infrastructure)

We are looking for an experienced Assistant IT Manager to oversee software system analysis, IT infrastructure, and database administration. The ideal candidate will manage and grow our IT team while ensuring efficient troubleshooting and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Software System Analysis:
  • Analyze third-party software systems to understand their structure and provide efficient issue troubleshooting and solutions.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.
  • Database Administration:
    • Manage SQL Server database administration, optimization, and performance tuning.
    • Ensure data security, integrity, and backup processes.
  • IT Equipment Management:
    • Oversee company assets, including purchasing, cleaning, setup, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
    • Ensure all IT assets are properly maintained and updated.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage and grow the IT team, assigning tasks and ensuring project deadlines are met.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff.
  • Vendor & System Support:
    • Collaborate with third-party software & services vendors and/or technicians regarding licensing, issues, and system maintenance.
    • Maintain strong relationships to ensure continuous software support and upgrades.
  • Technology & Innovation:
    • Continuously explore new systems and technologies to drive company improvements and develop better solutions on demand.
    • Recommend innovative IT strategies for operational efficiency.
  • Network & Security:
    • Manage company network share folder access for employees.
    • Implement security measures to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
    • Ensure company data protection through cybersecurity protocols and preventive measures.
    • Develop strategies to safeguard confidential information.
    • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management controls and initiatives.
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    • Assist in the development of project plans, budgets, and timelines, incorporating risk assessments.
    • Plan and prioritize IT-related tasks effectively.
    • Implement strategies for seamless IT project execution.
  • Infrastructure & Backup:
    • Serve as a backup resource for critical technical, infrastructure, and core system support, aiding during outages, emergencies, or high demand, including risk response and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate documentation for IT policies, procedures, risk assessments, technology evaluations, projects, purchases, and reports.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Management, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including IT infrastructure management, software development, and database administration.
    • At least 2 years in managerial or leadership roles.
    • Experience with SQL Server, Autocount Accounting System, PowerBI, server and network administration.
    • Strong sense of urgency, judgment, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proven experience in software analysis, IT equipment management, and vendor coordination.
    • Leadership skills to manage IT teams effectively.
