Job description

Position Title: Assistant IT Manager

Position type: Permanent; Full-time.

Salary: RM 6000-8000.

Work location: Shah Alam (5-day week), Selangor.

This is a subsidiary of a PLC engaged in the trading and distribution of building materials, petroleum, and automotive products in Malaysia. Currently, they are seeking an experienced IT Engineer with strong exposure to .NET applications and Microsoft Axapta system to be based at their corporate head office in Shah Alam. The role requires strong technical expertise, programming skills, and a passion for software development.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of computer applications.
2. Responsible for IT software designing and development for DotNet and Microsoft Axapta systems.
3. Responsible for program/system development and enhancement in webpages, mobile applications, Microsoft Axapta ERP system, and online systems.
4. Develop, manage, and improve new and existing company ERP application systems and e-document systems.
5. Software integration for web and back-end ERP systems.
6. Provide user support for in-house applications, manage, and develop both programs and reports.
7. Develop and propose ideas for system improvements.
8. Maintain and develop forms and reports.

The Candidate

1. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an IT-related field.
2. Proficient in programming skills including DotNet, C#, Java, Objective-C, Lotus Notes, X++, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL database.
3. Knowledge of ERP application systems is an advantage.
4. Good knowledge of IT systems including application servers, email and web servers, Windows operating systems, and MySQL.
5. Knowledge in mobile or webpage application development is an added advantage.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in English and conversant in BM and Mandarin.
7. Able to lead and manage staff.
