Your day to day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Diagnose and fix hardware/software issues, replace faulty parts, perform backups, and support disaster recovery.
• Maintain and manage computer networks, including hardware, software, and system configurations.
• Plan and implement network security to protect data and systems.
• Monitor systems and network performance, ensuring smooth access and usage.
• Perform regular startup/shutdown procedures and keep records.
• Design, install, and test computer hardware and software systems.
• Recommend system improvements and identify hardware/software needs.
• Assist users in solving system-related problems.
• Monitor network performance and suggest future improvements.
• Support the enhancement of guest room technology, ensuring IT aligns with wellness and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate with all departments to meet guest needs and maintain smooth operations.
• Promote cost-efficiency through training and awareness.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and operational standards.
• Provide basic system troubleshooting, engage external vendors as needed, and manage service levels.
• Oversee IT contracts, licensing, and service agreements.
• Plan and manage the IT budget for the property.
• Communicate and support the technology needs of the hotel.
• Coordinate day-to-day IT operations and user support.

What we need from you

For you to be the ideal candidate, you should have the following:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or relevant field of expertise.
• At least three years of related working experience. Prior experience in hospitality industry preferred.
• Able to communicate with and lead team members.
• Must speak English and Bahasa Malaysia.
