Assistant Inbound Manager | Asia Market (Urgent Hiring)

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Asian Trails (M) Sdn Bhd as an Assistant Inbound Manager, focused on the Asia market. In this full-time role based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a crucial part in managing incoming travel bookings and supporting the Inbound Manager to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Inbound Manager in coordinating and executing inbound travel packages and itineraries for the Asia market in Malaysia and Singapore.
• Handle day-to-day operations such as responding to customer inquiries, processing bookings, site inspections, and managing supplier relationships.
• Assist the Inbound Manager in sourcing and negotiating ground suppliers' contracts to ensure competitive rates in the market.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., operations, finance) to ensure the smooth delivery of travel arrangements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to bookings, invoices, and other operational data.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and systems to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Support the Inbound Manager in monitoring, delivering training, and supervising employee performance.

What we're looking for

• At least 8 years of experience in the travel/tourism industry, preferably in inbound operations or customer service roles.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory or senior executive positions.
• Strong knowledge of travel destinations, products, and services, particularly in Asia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experienced with travel booking systems.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
