Key Area of Responsibility (not exhaustive)
- Manage the implementation of HR strategies and policies related to organizational development, external competitiveness, and internal equity concerning compensation, benefits, training, and development, ensuring compliance with Food Safety requirements.
- Recruit and motivate outstanding personnel in collaboration with Department Leaders/Managers to achieve business targets. Counsel Department Leaders/Managers on all HR aspects influencing and steering strategy implementation.
- Identify HR needs aligned with business objectives. Establish and develop HR policies, administrative policies, SOPs, work instructions, and the company's employment handbook. Implement HR onboarding/orientation programs in compliance with Food Safety and statutory requirements.
- Manage payroll, control time management systems for employee attendance integrated with payroll for timely salary payments, and ensure statutory contributions are settled monthly.
- Lead investigations related to disciplinary and compliance cases.
- Handle employee relations, counseling, disciplinary actions, and termination processes in accordance with labor and industrial relations legislation.
- Oversee recruitment, management of quotas/permits/hostel, and processing of expatriate employment passes. Liaise with local regulatory authorities (JTK, IR Dept., IMM, MIDA, etc.) to ensure compliance.
- Plan and develop office IT and administrative controls, plant housekeeping, cleaning, and personnel hygiene in accordance with Food Safety policies.
- Manage security personnel and controls.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
- Ensure HR department staff adhere to company rules and regulations.
- Perform any other duties/responsibilities assigned by management.
