Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage financial reporting for a defined portfolio of clients, ensuring IFRS compliance and timely delivery of financial statements and reports.

You will prepare consolidated financial statements, fund/holdco and SPV reporting, and provide bespoke financial analysis. You will review work prepared by local accountants, coordinate with auditors, and support onboarding of new clients from an accounting

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA or equivalent).
• 3–5 years in accounting/auditing, real estate accounting is a plus.
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Involve in part of the client communication and ensuring delivery of all reporting for allocated client portfolio.
• Prepare Fund/Holdco and SPVs reporting and financial statements based on client requirements, including management fee calculation.
• Prepare consolidation accounts as needed.
• Provide bespoke financial analysis reporting per client requirements (e.g., cashflow).
• Review financial statements and analysis prepared by local accountants appointed by client.
• Review KL service center team's accounting work and provide coaching as necessary.
• Support the fund’s team with financial analysis.
• Prepare annual standalone and consolidated financial statements in IFRS and liaise with auditors.
• Capital call/distribution calculations, waterfall/performance fee calculation; coordinate with tax advisor on distributions and cashflow.
• Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met within agreed timeframe.
• Assist with intercompany loan agreements and payment documentation.
• Data review and analytical review of PropCo/HoldCo data; liaise with 3rd party providers.
• Support onboarding of new clients/portfolios from accounting perspective.
• Highlight process improvements and work with Director to implement.
• Attend client and internal meetings.
