Job summary

OCK Group is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to oversee the group consolidation and reporting process across local and regional subsidiaries. You will manage intercompany eliminations, currency translations, and FX analysis to ensure accurate financials.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated statements in line with MFRS, developing variance analyses and executive packs for the Board, and acting as the liaison with external auditors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferably with CPA, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in consolidation and financial reporting, preferably with Big 4 or public listed company experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of multi-currency consolidations, intercompany eliminations, foreign exchange accounting, and MFRS standards.
  • Advanced hands‑on experience with consolidation systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly to non‑finance executives and effectively manage cross‑functional deadlines.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews.

Assistant Finance Manager (Group Consolidation & Reporting)

Handle the end-to-end consolidation process across multiple local and regional subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, currency translations, and foreign exchange gain/loss analysis.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statement (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) in compliance with MFRS.

Develop comprehensive monthly reporting packages, variance analyses (Actual vs. Budget/Forecast), and executive slide decks for the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.

Serve as the functional owner of the financial consolidation software. Drive continuous process improvement, automation, and standardization in consolidation workflows.

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews. Assist with complex accounting research (e.g., business combinations, minority interests, foreign currency translation).

Prepare and updates forecast and forecast on yearly basis or as and when required by management.

Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with Bursa listing requirements and Bank Negara requirements, and consistency in accounting policies across all entities.

Assist in ad-hoc projects/tasks assigned by superior from time to time and perform research on new or changes in accounting standards.

Act as the main contact with subsidiaries’ finance team and provide support and updates to them from time to time.

Job Requirements:
