Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at Greenpac (Packaging) Sdn Bhd, located in Pasir Gudang, Johor. Position level will depend on candidate's experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting functions.

What you'll be doing

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and legal requirements.

Review internal control and business process to identify area for improvement. Formulate, review and implement procedures and policies.

Coordinate and manage external audits, tax and company secretarial matters.

Liaise with banker and finance company for corporate banking matters.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Execute financial planning strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.

Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations to Group Finance Director to support decision-making processes.

Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor cash flow and liquidity positions and develop strategies to optimize working capital and cash management.

Implement effective cash flow forecasting and reporting mechanisms.

Strategic Financial Planning:

Collaborate with Group Finance Director to develop financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making.

Identify and assess financial risks, develop risk management strategies, and implement appropriate controls.

Monitor and analyse market trends, economic factors, and industry developments to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate financial risks.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field

Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) is highly desirable

In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis

Understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards

Proficient in Microsoft office applications and SAP systems

Possess knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities
