Job summary

A leading retail company in Subang Jaya is seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily financial transactions and prepare budgets and reports. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail or wholesale industry. Proactive team players who can work independently are especially encouraged to apply. This position offers the opportunity for immediate start and involves liaising with various stakeholders to ensure accounting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years of experience in preparing full set of accounts, especially in retail or wholesale industry.
• Willingness to work in Subang Jaya.
• Ability to start work immediately is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transactions including accounts payable/receivable.
• Assist in preparing budgeting reports and cash flow projections.
• Organize and maintain updated financial records.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and banks as necessary.

Job description

Manage daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger & bank reconciliation.

Assist in preparing budgeting reports, forecasts and cash flow projections.

Assist in managing month-end and year-end closing

Organize financial data into usable information and maintain updated records

Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives

Ensure all the accounting records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system.

Liaise with Auditors, Tax Agents, Company secretaries, Bankers and government authorities when required.

Ensuring all AP & AR are processed timely and accurately

Prepare stock aging report

Able to do an analytical review and work independently.

Perform other ad hoc assignments as and when required.

Job Requirements

• Strong team player with ability to work independently and be proactive
• Min 3 years of experience in preparing full set of accounts preferably for the Retail or wholesale industry
• Willing to work in Subang Jaya
• Able to start work immediately is an added advantage
