Job description

About the roles

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about financial reporting, tax compliances, corporate governance, and Group consolidation. You’ll work closely with senior management and external stakeholders, ensuring statutory compliance, strategic reporting, and operational efficiency across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the consolidation of financial statements for all subsidiaries, ensuring accurate recognition, measurement, and presentation in accordance with financial reporting standards.
  2. Manage corporate boardroom matters, including preparation of reports for internal decision-making and timely statutory announcements (e.g. Bursa Malaysia), as well as implementing updates from the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance.
  3. Prepare and coordinate Quarterly Reports and Annual Reports for public release in line with statutory requirements.
  4. Organize and support Annual General Meetings (AGM) and Quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
  5. Review and analyze the Group’s financial performance on a monthly basis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  6. Estimate effective tax rates and plan expenses strategically to maximize tax benefits and compliance with evolving regulations.
  7. Assist in the review and coordination of Transfer Pricing documentation to meet local and international tax standards.
  8. Act as a liaison with government agencies to support new project proposals, securing potential grants and investment incentives.
  9. Coordinate and support the annual audit process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reviews.
  10. Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the Group remains compliant while identifying business opportunities arising from policy shifts.
  11. Report directly to the Finance Manager, with opportunities to contribute at a strategic level.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably have audit background or public-listed company environment.
  3. Strong technical knowledge in accounting standards, tax planning, and corporate governance.
  4. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  5. High integrity, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
