Job Description:
We are looking for a capable and well-rounded Assistant Finance Manager to support both operational and corporate finance functions. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager for day-to-day financial operations and to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for corporate-level matters, including banking, legal, compliance, and strategic finance projects.
This position requires a highly adaptable, mobile, and pleasant individual who can work independently, communicate effectively, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Finance (under Finance Manager):
• Assist in managing and reviewing daily accounting functions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support cash flow monitoring and financial planning.
• Ensure accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Corporate Finance & Strategic (under CFO):
• Assist in corporate exercises, due diligence, and financial modeling.
• Handle banking matters including credit facilities and liaison with bankers.
• Support legal, tax, and compliance-related assignments.
• Contribute to group-level reporting and strategic financial initiatives.
• Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and legal advisors.
Job Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, plus at least 3 years in audit (external audit experience preferred).
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MICPA is strongly preferred.
• Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) is an added advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptable, mobile, and able to manage multiple priorities.
