Position Purpose:

The Assistant Finance Manager will lead and manage accounting operations, finance operations, month end closing activities and year end closing activities. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for accounting and finance operations, managing both Balance sheet and P&L for assigned portfolio.
• At month end and year end, ensures proper cut-off and accurate recognition of expenses and revenue.
• Review financial performance by brand/segment by performing profit and loss variance analysis against budget and prior year, and provide quality insights.
• Contributes to annual budgeting process, including but not limited to overhead costs and capex.
• Oversee utilization of budgeted capex and Fixed Assets listing (i.e. capitalizations, write offs).
• Oversee annual stock take processes to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation.
• Work closely with shared service team (O2C, P2P, R2R) on accounting transactions.
• Provide analytical support to cross-function initiatives and ad hoc projects
• Facilitate financial audits and tax filings, and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Ensure compliance with financial standards and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting , ACCA or CPA qualified or equivalent.
• 4-7 years of relevant work experiences
• Proficiency in SAP is highly preferred.
• FMCG exposure is a plus.
• Organized, attentive to details, problem solver and a self-starter
• A team player able to work with multiple teams/stakeholders
