Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Finance Manager to support the finance team in managing the financial health of the organization. The role involves assisting in preparing budgeting, financial reporting, audits, tax, closing, cash flow, risk mitigation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant statutory requirements and financial standards (e.g., MPERS or MFRS or IFRS).
  • Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, including variance analysis, risk scenario planning and provide financial insights.
  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including review of tax computations and submissions.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and recommend risk-adjusted financing strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize risks in key financial processes and transactions.
  • Enhance internal control systems and propose improvements for financial processes and policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights.
  • Perform all other related assignments or ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or senior management from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Professional certificate CPA, ACCA, CMA is a plus.
  • At least 6 years working experience in finance and accounting with strong background in compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing or leading a small finance team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc) and familiar with accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, regulatory requirements and tax compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Take initiative and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
