About the role
Sinopont Everthriving is seeking a diligent and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our dynamic team in Ipoh, Perak. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Closing Activities:
• Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including account payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation.
• Review and perform reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. - Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Analyzing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
• Responsible for timely submission of monthly financial reports.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial reporting. - Tax Planning and Compliance:
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position, ensuring compliance with direct and indirect tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns (direct and indirect taxes) accurately and in timely manner, ensuring adherence to tax laws and guidelines.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations. - Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Developing, monitoring, and managing the company's budgets and financial forecasts.
• Collaborating with various departments to gather inputs for budgeting and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Analyzing budget-to-actual variances and providing recommendations to address any discrepancies.
• Review and approve all purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure procedures are fully compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Review and approve all payments to ensure payment is made accurately and in timely manner. - Cash Management and Investment:
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential investment opportunities, prepare investment plans and control investment scale in strict accordance with investment budgets, and update investment plans in a timely manner.
• Manage the company's cash flow, optimizing capital allocation to support operations and investments while minimizing financial risks. - Team Management:
• Leading and managing a team of Accountant and Account Executive.
• Reviewing the job tasks of the teams regularly.
• Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to optimise performance of the team as needed.
• Monitoring team performance and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. - Liaise with Relevant External Parties:
• Liaise with external parties such as banks, company secretary, auditors, tax agents, government, lawyer, agencies for matters related to Finance and Accounts. - Other Duties:
• To perform other duties and functions as directed by the Superior or/and management.
