Job description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to join our Building & Facilities Management team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and compliance of our hospital infrastructure while supporting our mission to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of chargemen and technicians in day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of building facilities, systems, and hospital equipment.
  • Support and oversee M&E projects and hospital renovations, ensuring completion within cost, timeline, and safety standards.
  • Monitor energy usage and implement green building initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g. OSHA, Bomba, Machinery Act).
  • Manage contracts, vendors, preventive maintenance programs, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve technical issues and support service continuity.
  • Champion workplace safety and emergency preparedness initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirement

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in facilities/building services, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) systems and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Experience in project coordination, contract/vendor management, and CMMS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
