Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Understand the process requirement of all process and equipment in the production area.
  2. Responsible to maintain process work instructions associated with all manufacturing processes such as manufacturing assembly and in-process acceptance procedures.
  3. Collaborate with Engineers in developing and implementing Visual Aids and Physical Samples on critical steps of the process to indicate proper acceptance criteria.
  4. Take charge to train manufacturing staff to release work instructions.
  5. Manage to execute Process Validation Protocols or/and Transference Plans and help Engineers generate test reports.
  6. Maintain and help Engineers improve process risk assessments, pFMEA.
  7. Able to take lead and support investigation, disposition, and corrective action of non-conforming materials.
  8. Responsible for identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality.
  9. Maintain and sustain the statistical process controls (SPC) for manufacturing operations.
  10. Responsible for ensuring cost reduction/process improvement programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Experience with optical/electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
  2. Experience in modern manufacturing principles and techniques.
  3. Working knowledge of statistical techniques (e.g., DOE, FMEA, SPC).
  4. Experience in process automation, verification and validation.
  5. Excellent communication skills and technical writing abilities.
  6. Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Excellent computer skills – CAD software, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  8. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Technical experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  2. Experience in the application of statistical process controls in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience in manual, semi-automated and automation processes, verification and validation.
  4. Hands-on skills with electro-mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  5. Excellent technical writing abilities.
  6. Good conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Good computer skills - CAD, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  8. Ability to be part of a team and adept in building and leading teams.
  9. Knowledge and experience in FDA QSR requirements and preferably ISO-13485 requirements is an advantage.
  10. Experience with planning and executing process validations and managing process risk assessment.
  11. Knowledge on developing and executing saving projects through lean manufacturing techniques.
  12. Good English communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to effectively interface with Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and other functional groups in the organization.

Education

  1. Diploma and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
