Job summary

A global materials science company in Selangor is looking for a leader to coordinate continuous improvement efforts in Enterprise Lean Sigma. You will manage project leaders, develop training plans, facilitate Kaizen events, and monitor team progress. Qualified candidates should have at least 7 years of experience and be certified in Lean Sigma practices. Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years in Enterprise Lean Sigma and process improvement projects.
  • Certified Black Belt or Green Belt is required.
  • Hands-on experience in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Hands-on experience in business/lean/operations, driving team excellence, and managing people.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Successful and effective communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the team’s progress in applying the Enterprise Lean Sigma techniques.
  • Develop ELS training plans, establish site trainers, and track progress.
  • Facilitate and support Kaizen events.
  • Act as a coach and catalyst for sharing and implementing best practices across all businesses.
  • Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed.
  • Drive ELS throughout the business/function with sustainable results.
  • Build relationships with business leaders to understand objectives and collaboratively develop supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform general management duties including staff performance appraisals, promotions, terminations, training and development, and ensuring consistent application of policies.
  • Coach, model behavior, and act as a change agent.
  • Lead and influence team members to achieve individual and business goals.
  • Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
  • Partner with site and functional leaders to train and deploy Enterprise Lean Sigma practices.
  • Assist in selecting teams and individuals for Enterprise Lean Sigma implementation opportunities.
  • Use Value Stream Mapping to establish the baseline process and measure progress.

About the role

You will lead and coordinate continuous improvement efforts and manage ELS Project Leaders for Kajang DC at a site or within a functional area. Act as change agent and subject matter expert to drive and support ELS continuous improvements within the business unit.
