Job summary

cbs APAC in Kuala Lumpur invites applications for the role of Assistant Controller – Global Controlling Business Services (GCBS). You will assist in monthly closings, prepare reports for entities, and support global reporting processes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, 2–4 years in finance, strong Excel, and familiarity with MS Office; knowledge of SAP FICO/BW is a plus, with the ability to work independently in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, with FP&A exposure.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of SAP (FICO, BW) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing regular monthly closing and management reports for Legal Entities, Practices, Business Units, and Group Management.
• Refresh, update, and maintain Excel-based closing and reporting files, including formulas, mappings, and reporting structures.
• Prepare and update PowerPoint management presentations based on existing Excel reports.
• Perform data checks and reconciliations to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting.
• Help prepare ad-hoc analyses.
• Support reporting automation and improvements to existing processes.
• Collaborate with international Controlling Functions to ensure timely and reliable reporting.

Key Responsibilities
