Responsibilities

  • Analyses a contract’s risk to the business and all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Leads contract negotiations and manages all changes in and addendums to existing contracts.
  • Provides responses to bids, proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Conducts research prior to writing contracts and ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Prepares requests for proposals for distribution to vendors.
  • Liaise closely with the sub-contractors, architects & consultant for site issues.
  • Monitors the performance of each signed contract.
  • Trains and supervises other contract professionals.
  • Communicates contract implementations to subordinates.
  • Coordinates with the finance department to ensure correct billing and collection of contractual revenues.
  • Verifies monthly main contractor and subcontractor interim payment certificates and letters of award (LOA).
  • Delivers Project Architect Certificates to Credit Control and Account Department on a monthly basis.
  • Monitors the construction cost and VO are within budget.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Masters’ Degree holder in Quantity Surveyor in a development-based environment.
  • Proactive, dynamic, hardworking & a good team player.
  • More than 8 years of working experience in the related field.
  • In-depth experience of QS work & contract administration in the development field.
  • In-depth knowledge of standard procedures for QS practice.
  • Experience in pre & post contracts management such as preparation of tender documents, tender analysis, BOQ, procurement & award of contracting work, budget controls, negotiation and contract administration.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
