Job summary

A leading company specialized in property development is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage both pre and post-contract activities. You will be responsible for preparing cash flows, estimates, and tender documentation, as well as evaluating claims from contractors. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 8 years of relevant industry experience.

Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of working experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Familiar with pre and post contract administration processes.
  • Highly motivated and able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare yearly cash flows, project estimates, and tender documents.
  • Evaluate and verify claims of variation before approval.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and project budgets.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:-

Pre-Contract

  • Responsible in preparing the following including but not limited to:
  • Yearly cash flows for project handled;
  • Project estimate / cost plan;
  • Tender documents;
  • Pre-tender estimates;
  • Tender report;
  • Award memo for Management’s approval;
  • Letter of Award to contractors;
  • Evaluate and review report of tender submissions by Consultant;
  • Record tender committees meeting minutes;
  • Attend Client Consultant Meeting;
  • Participate in value engineering exercise.

Post-Contract

  • Evaluate, access and verify legitimate claims of variation before approval from Management;
  • Verify Consultant recommendation on monthly progress claim and variation order by Contractors;
  • Review, deliberate and verify statement of final account before approval from Management;
  • Prepare and update monthly project financial reports, tender schedules and project budget vs award schedule.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
  • At least 8 years working experience in a consulting or contracting firm preferably Quantity Surveying in a Property Development company.
  • Familiar with the entire pre and post contract administration flow.
  • Highly motivated, independent and able to work within tight datelines.
