This full-time role involves managing compliance, preparing statutory documents, and providing governance support. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in a company secretarial position and strong knowledge of Malaysian corporate laws.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join our dynamic team at EMIQUEST (M) SDN. BHD. in our office located in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive company secretarial and governance support to the organisation.
What you'll be doing
Assisting the Company Secretary in managing statutory compliance and company records
Preparing and filing of all statutory returns and documents with the relevant authorities
Organising and attending Board, Committee and General Meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
Providing guidance and support to the Board of Directors on corporate governance best practices
Maintaining a comprehensive database of company documents and records
Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders as required
Undertaking ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Company Secretary
What we're looking for
Minimum 2years of relevant experience in a company secretarial or administrative role—preferably in a public‑listed company or professional services firm; fresh graduates with strong academic credentials and a keen interest in corporate secretarial work are also encouraged to apply
Strong knowledge of Malaysian corporate laws and regulations, as well as company secretarial practices and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work
Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude
