Job summary

Hirehub Group is seeking an experienced Civil Construction professional to manage civil works for data center projects in Kapar, Selangor, Malaysia. You will support the Civil Construction Manager with foundations, structures, and finishes while coordinating with engineers and subcontractors on site.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil engineering degree with 5+ years in civil construction or site management. English and Malay communication are required; overseas data center experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction or site management.
• Experience in data center projects or large industrial facilities is an advantage.
• Proficiency with MS Project and AutoCAD; familiarity with precast/modular construction is a plus.
• Good understanding of local Southeast Asia construction standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Civil Construction Manager in civil works for data center projects, including foundations and structural works.
• Review drawings, identify issues, and support site engineers and subcontractors with coordination.
• Help develop and monitor construction schedules and track progress to milestones.
• Prepare method statements, construction plans, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate daily site activities with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and cost, ensuring compliance with specs and standards.
• Assist in resolving on-site technical issues with practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Civil Construction Manager in managing the construction and technical execution of civil works for data center projects, including foundations, structural works, architectural finishes, external infrastructure, and landscaping.
• Review civil construction drawings, identify technical issues, and provide support to site engineers and subcontractors through technical coordination and briefings.
• Assist in developing and monitoring construction schedules, track project progress, and help ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Prepare and review method statements, construction plans, technical submissions, and work procedures for civil works.
• Coordinate and supervise daily site activities, working closely with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and compliant project execution.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety (EHS), and cost performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and contractual requirements.
• Support the resolution of on-site technical issues by working with the Civil Construction Manager and project team to implement practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments, clients, consultants, PMC representatives, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution and effective communication.
• Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and other project records as required.
• Support the Project Manager and Civil Construction Manager in overall project delivery and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction or site management, preferably with involvement in at least one full-cycle civil construction project.
• Experience in data center projects, large-scale industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or industrial park developments will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with prefabricated (precast/modular) construction methods is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering or project management software.
• Good understanding of construction regulations, industry standards, and project management practices in Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia.
• Sound technical knowledge of civil construction, structural works, architectural finishes, and site execution.
• Good communication, coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
• Relevant professional certifications or engineering qualifications in the construction field will be an advantage.
• Basic English communication skills are required. Proficiency in Malay and experience in overseas data center projects will be an added advantage.
• Willing to be stationed full-time at project sites in Malaysia.

Location: Kapar, Selangor

Working Hours: Mon - Fri (9:00AM - 6:00PM), Sat (9:00AM - 1:00PM)

Salary Range: RM10k - 16k
