We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager, Accounting to join our growing team of 20+ dedicated professionals. What You'll Do:
- As our Assistant Manager, you'll play a crucial role in our Management Reporting (MR) team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring financial accuracy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and Mentoring: Managing a team of 1-2 Accounting Analysts, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth.
- Management Reporting: Preparing comprehensive monthly management accounts, analyzing financial ratios and figures, and presenting key insights to senior management.
- External Liaison: Collaborating with external parties such as rating agencies and auditors, including preparing audit reports and facilitating the audit process.
- Daily Operations: Overseeing and reviewing daily tasks like bank reconciliations, invoice and journal postings, and fixed asset management.
- Financial Review: Assisting in the review of financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Balance Sheet Management: Actively participating in balance sheet management and general ledger monitoring.
- Special Projects: Contributing to ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a dedicated and experienced professional who meets the following criteria:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Accounting & Finance is essential. Professional qualifications like ACCA membership are highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience. At least 1-2 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and developing staff. Demonstrated experience in full set accounting is a must. Prior experience in an international, multinational (MNC), or listed company environment is preferred. We value stability and prefer candidates with a track record of at least two years in previous roles.
- Skills & Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with basic accounting systems.
