Job description

A well-established multinational engineering and manufacturing firm based in Johor Bahru is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support full-spectrum accounting operations. This role provides exposure to project costing, GL, AR/AP, LMW reports, and audit coordination in a dynamic MNC setting.

Process invoice matching, payments, and daily cash book entries

Handle project and production invoice billing and collections

Maintain fixed asset register and perform monthly depreciation

Track and analyze materials, labor, and overhead costs

Perform monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting

Coordinate LMW reports, physical stock take, and audit preparations

Support quarterly standard cost revision and financial schedules

Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies

Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Finance / Professional Certification

Minimum 1 year experience in accounting or costing environment

Meticulous, well-organized, and able to meet deadlines independently

Strong communication and coordination skills

Familiar with ERP (SAP, IFS) is a plus

Manufacturing or project-based accounting experience is an advantage
