GB Motors Sdn Bhd is seeking a full-time Assistant Accountant to join our team in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's financial accounting and reporting functions, contributing to the overall financial management and success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Handling full set of financial accounts and preparing monthly reports.
  2. Responsible for month-end closing, accruals, and reversals.
  3. Manage data entry and updating of accounting records promptly.
  4. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and the company secretary.
  5. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

What we're looking for

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience; automotive industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
