- Possess a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in accounting roles, demonstrating a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
- Experience in account management, including reconciliation of accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
- Familiarity with audit processes and procedures, with the ability to support internal and external audits.
- Competent in performing administrative and secretarial duties to support the accounting department's operations.
- Experience in payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries and benefits.
- Ability to assist in financial forecasting and budgeting activities, providing valuable insights for financial planning.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, enabling effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues efficiently.
- Proficient in negotiation skills, particularly in resolving payment disputes or negotiating payment terms with vendors.
- Must be willing to work full-time at our physical store in Bandar Damai Perdana, Cheras, Selangor, Malaysia.
- Manage and maintain accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Support the preparation and filing of tax returns, including SST and other relevant taxes, ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines and regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations and addressing audit queries effectively.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculating wages, deductions, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS), and preparing payroll reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation, ensuring proper filing and archiving of financial documents.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting and analysing financial data, and preparing budget reports.
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the accounting department, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and handling confidential information.
- Utilise analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
