The key role of this position is to be responsible for overall Accounts and Finance Department goals and objectives. To manage daily operations of the department and advise management on finance and accounting related decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- Monthly and end-year processes
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Cash receipts
- General ledger
- Payroll and utilities
- Treasury, budgeting
- Cash forecasting
- Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- Capital assets reconciliations
- Trust account statement reconciliations
- Check runs
- Fixed asset activity
- Debt activity
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statementsReview financial documents for submission to Management and HQ in JapanEnsure monthly reports are timely and accurateReview monthly salary payment disbursement and other payablesReview and finalize cash flow planning and make financing proposals as requiredSupport regional accounting activities, including outsourcing projects from Regional HQ Singapore and South-East Asia regional projectsMeet financial accounting objectivesEstablish and maintain fiscal files and recordsPrepare annual and 5-year business plansCoordinate and complete annual audits and tax computationsEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesImprove systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actionsProvide management with recommendations on asset handling, budgeting, and financial positionAssign projects and supervise staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls, regulations, and ISO standardsCoordinate BOD and AGM meetings and related documentationManage the accounting software systemCoordinate with the Company Secretary to ensure compliance with the Companies Act
