Job description

Alibaba Cloud Data Center is a global cloud computing infrastructure offering high-performance, available, and secure cloud services across 30 cloud regions and 89 availability zones through advanced technology and global deployment.

Leveraging years of experience, Alibaba Cloud has innovated various technologies such as its in-house efficient Panama power supply and highly elastic cooling technology enabling nearby cooling, precise temperature control, and secure operations. The data center also employs intelligent O&M robots for around-the-clock maintenance and industry-leading immersive liquid cooling technology.

Job Description

1. Responsible for all Regional IDC Logistics, Asset, and Inventory management, including managing a team of Data Center asset engineers within the cluster.

2. Be the point of escalation for any asset and supply chain operational-related matters.

3. Perform regional asset management workflows, influence cross-functional teams on process gaps and improvement.

4. Perform asset operations including inbound receiving, transfers, stock distribution, RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), and decommission of Data Centers and warehouses.

5. Support the auditing process, lead cycle count activities, and ensure adherence to all financial and compliance standards.

6. Support delivery operations involving system integrators, data centers, warehouses, and facilitate communications with Logistics Service Providers and Suppliers.

7. Work closely with Datacenter Operations and Engineering, Network, Security, and Platform teams to implement changes, maintain asset accuracy, report incidents, and analyze discrepancies among physical assets, system records, and financial records.

8. Manage regional asset teams, ensuring effective supervision and maintenance of local assets, and optimize resource allocation and asset utilization.

Job Requirement

1. Bachelor degree in a technical or business field.

2. Prefer 3+ years Data Center Supply Chain and Logistics experience.

3. Experience collaborating with individuals across internal and external organizations, and other geographies.

4. Able to execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

5. Must be "hands-on" and willing to roll up sleeve to support operational activities.

6. Experience with data center hardware, including servers and network equipment.

7. Experienced in managing asset related daily operational activities.

8. Good analytical skills to query on data sources and able to gather insights from complex data.

9.Bilingual in Chinese and English is a must as the role need to cooperate with the HQ in China.
