Job Purpose Summary

The Manager of Asset Management within Group Technology (GT) of Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLBB) is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets to ensure the delivery of reliable and quality IT operations and services. This role is also crucial for developing strategies to optimize asset acquisitions and license renewals, as well as maximizing the use of existing assets. Additionally, the role is responsible for ensuring that the acquisition and disposing of assets adhere to regulatory and compliance standards including internal IT security measures.

High Level Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Oversee overall management and governance across the IT asset lifecycle and configuration management service.

  • Lead the daily operations of the configuration management process, establishing priorities and ensuring all assets are functioning optimally.

  • Regularly review the maintenance and inventory records of IT assets and conduct audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the asset inventory.

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive IT asset management strategy aligned with the business objectives.

  • Oversee adherence to regulatory standards and compliance and ensure software developed and maintained by the team complies with cost, risk, and compliance controls.

  • Lead collaboration with other functions within GT to handle asset acquisitions and disposals proactively and efficiently.

  • Provide input to the budgeting and forecasting processes for IT assets.

  • Review reports and analysis on IT asset utilization, cost, and performance to support decision-making and planning.

Jobholder Requirements:

Education/Qualification
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and other related fields from established tertiary education providers.


Experience
Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in IT Asset Management and at least 5 years of supervisory and managerial experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably the Banking industry, with strong and proven track record in effectively managing asset lifecycle.
